We're Katie and Dino, a Fairfield family just like yours — and this newsletter started from a pretty simple frustration: every time something breaks around the house, we're stuck asking neighbors, scrolling old Facebook threads, or gambling on a stranger's five-star reviews.

HVAC companies get slammed the moment the first cold snap hits, and a lot of them start booking multi-week out by mid-October. A tune-up now (usually $100-200) catches small issues — a dirty filter, a worn belt, a failing igniter — before they turn into a no-heat emergency on the coldest night of the year.
